10 Years since the lifting of the ban on homosexuals in the British Armed Forces

Proud2Serve.net marks an important milestone on the road to equality in the British Armed Forces.

It is ten years since the announcement of the armed forces code of social conduct and the formal removal of the ban on homosexuality in the armed forces.

Networking, Support and Advice

Whereas there is no formal armed forces lesbian and gay association or formal military gay grouping, the proud2serve.net public forum provides many of the social and informal support functions that such a body would provide. Non-members are free to post questions about joining up, bullying, relationships, medical concerns and penpals in the 'open' topics listed under quicklinks. All people with a genuine link to the military community are free to join the forum.

NEW: Private Messaging is now enabled between all registered forum members

Military documents, Single Service areas, Galleries

The 250+ pages of the website support the networking on the forum by highlighting legislation, welfare support, and providing updates from the Single Service LGBT Forums. Use the navigation at the top and left hand side of every page, starting with the main index.
